Who we are
Dr Eichelberger interviewing after coordinating the team that saved the life of the only pediatric victim of the Washington DC sniper shootings.
Triaj Inc is a team with a commitment to provide “just-in-time,” bedside, evidence-based knowledge on a sophisticated, hand-held, medical technology platform to serve as a “Clinical Decision Support System” for a physician, surgeon, nurse or corpsman, anywhere worldwide at any time!
The concept of Triaj Inc began in 2011 after a request from the military trauma center in Kandhar, Afghanistan for assistance with the care of three children. The children, 6-10 years of age, detonated a landmine which injured them. Since the combat hospital is a resource with an adult patient care focus and has a pediatric care knowledge gap, access to information at the bedside is an acute need.
The first product of Triaj Inc is Triaj which focuses upon pediatric trauma care and which provides a guideline for femur fracture. The system evolved after extensive research, discussion and trial to create a practical solution to close the knowledge gap for all healthcare providers.
Triaj provides an evidence-based protocol and checklist that assists the healthcare provider who cares for the child. The system does not replace the provider but delineates guidelines for the seven phases of care: resuscitation, pre-operative, surgery, post-operative, critical care, aftercare and discharge—the continuum of care.
The objective of Triaj Inc is to close the pediatric knowledge gap for healthcare providers and to create results such as:
Provide the highest quality patient care
Increase patient safety
Enhance the productivity of the healthcare team
Reduce the cost of care
The Triaj Inc diagnosis-based system of care is simple, practical, enhances the work flow, links to the electronic medical record, can be immediately updated with new knowledge, and will Save Lives!
